One of the enduring legacies of the turbulence of the past two years for the investment industry is a new insistence on the importance of corporate governance on the part of both regulators and investors.

To help directors of listed fund vehicles understand the new market expectations and meet the changing requirements amid what continue to be challenging conditions, the Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX) is holding a two-part seminar in London on July 16 focusing corporate governance issues as well as new market opportunities.

Ongoing compliance with the Listing Rules is at the core of good corporate governance, and the two-part seminar will begin with the CISX Continuing Obligations Workshop, which will include presentations on related issues such as the role of the company secretary and a UK perspective on enforcement risk.

The seminar will also feature guidance from the Association of Investment Companies on matters relating to corporate governance. The programme is designed to be highly interactive and informative, and will offer views from leading opinion-formers across the financial industry.

The seminar will be held on July 16 at the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5ED.

Delegates are welcome to attend both the morning and afternoon sessions. Those under time constraints may attend the morning session only (include a buffet lunch) or the afternoon session only.

Places at the seminar are strictly limited. Please click here to get more information on the event and how to register
