SUSI Sustainable Euro Fund I acquires 3MWp solar power plant in Belgium

SUSI Partners AG has completed the purchase of a 3MWp photovoltaic power plant in Waregem, Belgium for the SUSI Sustainable Euro Fund I. The rooftop installation was built in 2009 by an established Belgian EPC with Sharp solar modules and SMA invertors.

Otto von Troschke (pictured), Chief Investment Officer of SUSI Partners AG, says: “This is a particularly impressive investment for our fund. Being one of the largest rooftop constructions in Belgium, we are quite excited to enter the Flemish PV market with this transaction.

"The power plant employs high quality components and has performed well above expectations. We executed a very thorough investigation of the target and are confident that the acquisition will exceed our Fund’s mandate. The Belgium market, like many other European economies, is rapidly adjusting their feed-in-tariff mechanism but SUSI is well-positioned to secure existing guarantees such as this 3MWp site. Our pipeline of projects in France, Italy, Finland, Belgium, and Germany is well over 200 million Euros, and we are confident to attract additional institutional investors to capture these lucrative renewable energy opportunities.”
