Managing Interest Rate Risk - LIFFE

This three day course has been designed to provide delegates with an in-depth understanding of the various means and mechanisms within the market of managing and controlling interest rate risk. The first day of the course focuses on the types of instruments that can be used for controlling interest rate risk, and critically, the marked-to-market concept. Day two then looks at risk analysis and risk management using shorter term derivative instruments. The third day of the course starts with a continuation of risk management techniques but this time using longer dated derivatives. The course then finishes with a look at hedging swap book exposure.
Throughout the course, case studies and market examples will be used extensively both to demonstrate key learnings and ensure clear understanding of key concepts.
This course is targeted at those with either a direct or indirect participation in the markets who need to have an in-depth understanding of the key means of managing interest rate risk - for example; Head of Desks, Bank Traders, Fund and Investment Managers, Risk Managers, Treasurers and Brokers.
