ClickSlide secures seed investment led by ACE Fund

ClickSlide has closed its seed investment round led by Ariadne Capital Entrepreneurs (ACE) Fund and three angel investors.

The investment will be used to fund product development.

ClickSlide Abacus is a cloud-based platform that allows software to be connected to a programmable interface for the testing of APIs against live mobile applications. Such technology can create a substantial reduction in application build time.

ClickSlide Abacus can produce a live application connected to any REST, SOAP and XML -RPC APIs. Live testing of APIs against mobile applications can be used to test API viability at hack-a-thons. ClickSlide Abacus is used to educate developers on how an API can be used within a live application.

The company intends to launch ClickSlide Abacus this year.

Gabriel Ortiz, chief executive officer of ClickSlide, says: “Aaron Franco and I founded ClickSlide because we believe that the world’s technology needs to acquire an added dimension of humanity. Too often technology excludes rather than includes and our belief is that there should be fewer barriers to its creation.  The greater the participation in the development of technology, the less we fragment not just software and applications, but society as a whole. That’s our vision and we want to work with companies that share that vision.”

Julie Meyer, managing partner, ACE Fund, says: "When we first met the ClickSlide team we were immediately excited by what they were working on. We believe that they’re doing exactly what entrepreneurs should always do – set out to change the world. The technology that Clickslide is developing promises to do just that. It’s the ability to break the mould, to do things differently, that leads to true progress. We think ClickSlide is a game-changer."
