Krusen Capital forms strategic relationship with Wilshire Private Markets

Krusen Capital Management, the hedge fund and private equity advisory firm, has formed a strategic relationship with Wilshire Private Markets (WPM), a business unit of Wilshire Associates, in which WPM will provide private markets advisory services, including manager and market research, investment sourcing and investment due diligence.

Founded by Charles Krusen (pictured) in January 2009, Krusen Capital currently offers access to 24 hedge funds across the entire range of strategies, four concentrated baskets, five private equity funds, and 4 liquid alternative solutions.

“The partnership with Wilshire is ideal for our business model and for our clients.  In addition to offering affordable access to top-tier managers, our ability to provide institutional due diligence and ongoing monitoring through Wilshire is critical to the ultimate success of the investment.  The global nature of their organisation was a key consideration as we continue to expand the scope of our business,” says Krusen. “In this challenging era of financial repression, we believe that the illiquidity risk is attractively valued and that private equity represents one of the best risk-adjusted strategies for investors today.  Wilshire’s expertise in small- and mid-cap buyouts is a perfect fit for the LionHedge Platform.”

“This opportunity to provide a customised private markets solution to the high net worth and family office space is very exciting and a good fit for our other work in the area,” says Marc Friedberg, managing director of WPM.  “We believe this segment of the market has been and continues to be extremely underserved and lacking in cost efficient solutions. We believe Krusen’s vision to offer such cost efficient and institutional quality solutions to its client base is well aligned with our mission, which is focused on providing highly customised and flexible solutions to our partners and clients.”
