Alex Black named a partner of Alinda Capital Partners

Infrastructure investment firm Alinda Capital Partners has appointed Alex Black as a partner with responsibility for the implementation of operational improvements for the firm’s portfolio companies.

Black joined Alinda in 2008 to lead portfolio management and, prior to this announcement, he was a managing director in the firm.

He has over 20 years of operational improvement experience. He has served as chief executive, chief financial officer and head of operations at a variety of companies and as a consultant in operational improvement for portfolio companies. He is an expert in developing strategic alternatives and in implementing organisational change.

Prior to joining Alinda, he was a senior director of Kroll Zolfo Cooper, a consulting firm, and previously worked for Touche Ross & Co.

“Alex Black’s elevation to partner reflects the importance of operational improvements to Alinda’s investment strategy and the value he and our portfolio group are adding to our investments,” says Chris Beale, Alinda’s managing partner.
