Shareholders of CLS Group elected Hirochika Iwadare to the board of directors at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held earlier this month.
Iwadare, located in Tokyo, is general manager of the global markets trading division at The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ.
Prior to his current role, Iwadare held a variety of positions at The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, including general manager and treasurer of the global markets division for the East Asia region, chief manager of the international treasury and investment division, and chief manager of the global markets planning division.
Gerard Hartsink, chairman of CLS, says: “We are very pleased to welcome Mr Iwadare to our board. His expertise in FX and the wider global markets will be important as CLS continues to evolve in response to the changing FX market.”
Iwadare serves as the chairman of ACI (Forex Club) in Japan. He also served as a member of the executive board for Treasury Markets Association in Hong Kong.
