HarbourVest promotes two to managing director

Private equity firm HarbourVest Partners has promoted Julie Eiermann and Tim Flower to managing director.

Eiermann is one of HarbourVest’s longest-serving employees, joining the firm in 1993.  During her 20 years with the firm, she has built the portfolio analytics team into one of HarbourVest’s most valuable assets. The portfolio analytics team is responsible for the collection, tracking, benchmarking, and analysis of all investment data, including primary partnership, secondary, and direct investments.

Eiermann joined HarbourVest from Advent International.

Flower joined HarbourVest’s secondary team in London in 2008. He has played a leading role in a number of significant transactions in Europe and Asia.  For the past three years, Flower has led the firm’s secondary investment efforts in Asia.

Flower also supports HarbourVest’s investor relations in Asia. He serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Asia Growth Capital Advisors, Absa Capital Private Equity Partners, and NewQuest Capital Advisors. Flower joined HarbourVest from Bridgepoint in London, and his prior experience includes positions with MCF Corporate Finance, Nordea Securities, and Ernst & Young.

“We are pleased to recognise Julie and Tim, who focus on different aspects of our business and represent HarbourVest’s deep experience and global expertise," says Brooks Zug, senior managing director of HarbourVest.  "These promotions reflect our dedication to the development of the next generation of our firm."
