Portfolio Advisors (PA) has held the final closing of its globally diversified private equity secondary fund, Portfolio Advisors Secondary Fund II (PASF II), with total commitments of USD910m.
Limited partners include private and public pension plans, university endowments, private foundations, insurance companies, family offices and high net worth individuals.
Approximately 80 per cent of the total limited partner commitments to the fund came from investors who had previously invested in one or more PA-sponsored funds.
Since 2003, PA has completed over USD2bn of private equity secondary transactions.
PASF II has been purchasing direct secondary fund interests since the third quarter of 2012.
The firm’s first dedicated private equity secondary fund closed in 2009.
