Segulah IV acquires KP Components

Segulah IV has entered into an agreement to acquire KP Components.

KP Components, which was founded in 1969 by Poul Krogh Pedersen, offers complex machined metal components for hydraulics, power generation and fluid transportation.

KP Components’ head office is located in Spjald, Denmark. Its products are distributed broadly across Europe and the US, where KP Components established production facilities in 2011.

The sellers in the transaction are the Danish private equity fund Capidea Kapital and Industri Udvikling.

Chief executive Martin Krogh Pedersen will remain as a significant minority owner subsequent to Segulah’s acquisition together with management.

Pedersen says: “We have had strong development over the last years and we are now delighted to have Segulah as new majority owner to assist us in the next phase of growth.”

Once Segulah’s acquisition has been completed, Lars Pettersson, former CEO of Sandvik, will be appointed chairman of the board.

“KP Components has developed a profitable business model built on extensive know-how in providing high quality customised and complex components, and it is well positioned for continued strong growth. We look forward to continuing support for management in realising the company’s potential,” says Marcus Jansson from Segulah Advisor AB.

The acquisition will be Segulah IV’s ninth investment.
