Wynnchurch Capital adds Jude Thompson to executive advisory board

Wynnchurch Capital, a middle-market private equity firm, has appointed Jude Thompson to its newly formed executive advisory board.

Thompson was most recently president and co-CEO of Papa John's International, the world's third largest pizza company.

Previously, Thompson held several leadership roles at WellPoint, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, most recently as divisional president. In this role, he was responsible for management of the company's individual business unit in the 14 states served by WellPoint, which generated more than USD5bn in revenue.

Thompson is a board member of Central Bank & Trust Company of Jefferson County, ISCO Industries, and Delta Dental of Kentucky. He also has held directorships at several other organisations, including Lindsey Wilson College, Health Enterprise Network, Boy Scouts of America, Greater Louisville, Louisville Community Initiative, Community Foundation of Louisville, and Greater Louisville Sports Commission.

"Jude is recognised as an expert in delivering revenue in untraditional ways. His perspective will allow us to think differently about revenue growth across our portfolio," says John Hatherly, founding partner of Wynnchurch. "His skill and experience set align with the key tenets of our value construction model, and in particular, identifying organic growth opportunities through new go-to-market sales and marketing strategies along with new product development initiatives."
