Dan Bate joins Zeus Capital

Zeus Capital has appointed Dan Bate as a director of corporate finance.

Bate joins Zeus Capital from AIM quoted corporate broking and private wealth management business WH Ireland, where he was head of corporate finance in Manchester and group company secretary.

During his seven years with the business he advised on all areas of corporate finance, including AIM IPOs, fundraisings and general M&A.

A qualified solicitor, Bate previously worked for Halliwells as a senior corporate lawyer specialising in public company advisory.

Bate says: “I am delighted to be joining Zeus Capital at time when the UK capital markets are enjoying a dramatic resurgence with investor confidence and support being at its strongest for a long time.  The highly experienced advisors at Zeus Capital have proven themselves to be at the forefront of the renewed strength of the AIM Market in particular, acting on several of the largest corporate IPOs on AIM in the last 12 months.  With Zeus Capital having raised well in excess of GBP500m in the first quarter of 2014 alone, and with an exceptionally strong transaction pipeline, I am extremely excited to be joining this successful team at this time and look forward to being part of growing the business further in the coming months.”

Tim Metcalfe, joint chief executive at Zeus Capital, says: “We are delighted to welcome Dan to the team – he has considerable AIM market expertise, both as a corporate financier and a solicitor with a strong track record and reputation in the Manchester business community.

“Following an exceptionally strong first quarter, with the completion of a number of large deals and, with a strong pipeline for the coming months, Dan’s appointment will support the continuing success and growth of the business.”
