Ipes appoints UK operations director

Private equity fund administrator Ipes has appointed Mark Coppin as operations director for Ipes UK.

Coppin (pictured) brings with him more than 16 years financial services experience during which he has specialised in private equity accounting and administration.

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Coppin has joined Ipes from Langham Hall where he was in charge of the private equity reporting team, advising clients in private equity funds, venture funds and fund of funds.

Coppin says: “I joined Ipes because it has a pure private equity focus and real strength and depth when it comes to industry knowledge giving it a great ability to deliver a quality service to its clients. I was also impressed by its investment in infrastructure and a system to ensure it is a leader in service delivery rather than a follower.”

Prior to Langham Hall he ran a number of teams at Capital Dynamics reporting fund of funds vehicles and specific client accounts.

Coppin has also worked for 3i, one of the UK’s largest fund managers. There he started as a fund accountant before going into a middle office role with responsibility for a number of funds and their reporting, compliance and governance.

Ben Cook, managing director of Ipes UK, says: “We are delighted Mark has joined the Ipes team. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable in helping us to grow and to continue to deliver a first class service to our clients. I am really pleased Mark has chosen to join us and his specialist knowledge is a perfect fit for our specialist offering.”
