Leveraged finance partner Olivier Vermeulen has joined the Paris office of law fimr Paul Hastings as a partner and head of the Finance practice in the office.
Vermeulen joins from King & Wood Mallesons, where he was head of the Paris Finance department, and brings a team of three lawyers with him. Vermeulen has broad experience in leveraged finance, funds financing, structured finance, debt restructuring and general lending and securitisation, advising financial institutions and private equity funds. He is recognised in Chambers Europe and Legal 500 EMEA for Banking & Finance. “Paul Hastings is growing throughout Europe, particularly in leveraged finance, and Olivier is a great asset for the firm,” says Olivier Deren, chair of the Paris office of Paul Hastings. “He has developed innovative solutions to assist clients in a rapidly changing market, across a wide range of finance areas, and complements our existing reputation in private equity.”
