Primus Capital Funds has announced the promotion of Scott B. Harper to managing director.
Harper joined the firm in 1994 from Goldman Sachs and focuses on investments in the education and business services sectors.
He manages Primus’s investments in American Institutes Holdings and ATI Enterprises, two for-profit education platform investments, and was involved in the firm’s earlier investment in Corinthian Colleges.
He is also a director of Pegasus Tower Development and Peopleclick.
Primus entered the education sector in 1987 with its investment in DeVry.
Founded in 1983 and based in Cleveland, Ohio, Primus invests in established, high growth companies in the business services, healthcare and education sectors through transaction including growth equity financing, recapitalisations and management-led buyouts.
