Mercury Capital Advisors opens Seattle office

Mercury Capital Advisors, a global placement agent specialising in private investments, has opened a new office in Seattle, Washington.

The new office extends the reach of the Mercury iFunds platform, a digital solution offering a range of curated non-correlated investments to the wealth management community, namely RIAs and other intermediaries. Located in the Two Union Square building, the office is led by Brian Hanson, Executive Director, iFunds Distribution, who reports to Donal Mastrangelo, Executive Director and Head of US iFunds Distribution.

“iFunds provides digital access to an ecosystem of the same leading-edge alternatives managers and pre-IPO that we source for our most sophisticated institutional clientele. Through this simple and intuitive platform, the private client community are now provided with an investible solution offering smaller bite sizes coupled with a compelling fee structure,” sa7s Michael Ricciardi, CEO and Co-Founder.

The Seattle office is the latest step in Mercury Capital Advisors’ plans to complement the highly successful brick-and-mortar business with the iFunds digital solution, in top global wealth markets. Earlier this year, the firm opened an office in Palm Beach, Florida led by Robert Silvani, Executive Director, iFunds Distribution, and made a handful of new hires at their New York headquarters.

“I look forward to playing an instrumental role with the evolution and expansion of the Mercury iFunds distribution team, and our desire to set a new standard in the financial advisor community,” says Brian Hanson.

Prior to joining Mercury, Brian was the Director of Business Development at Silver Creek Capital Management, (USD7 billion AUM) an alternative investment manager. Previously, Hanson spent nine years at Quellos Group, an alternative fund of funds manager (purchased by BlackRock in 2007), on both the wealth and investment management sides of the business. Hanson holds a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and marketing from the University of Washington. Hanson is a board member of the Fulcrum Foundation.
