PPB Capital Partners hires Frank Burke as Chief Investment Strategist

PPB Capital Partners, a designer and administrator of alternative investment funds for the wealth management industry, has appointed Frank Burke as chief investment strategist.

Burke (pictured), will advise PPB Capital’s network of investment advisors on selecting best-of-class alternative investment products for its clients.

“We are pleased to welcome Frank to our growing team,” says Brendan Lake, chief executive officer of PPB Capital Partners. “Frank’s deep knowledge of alternative asset classes will provide our platform of private investments services increased breadth and depth. As one of the lead portfolio managers of Hatteras Funds, Frank brings a wealth of experience sourcing and designing funds as well as advising wealth managers on the benefits of alternative investing. We look forward to Frank strengthening our product offering and helping us scale.”

Burke brings over 20 years of asset management, portfolio construction and financial advisory experience to PPB. As chief investment strategist, he assists RIAs in constructing client portfolios that best utilise alternative investment managers.

While at Hatteras Funds, Burke managed several of the firm’s alternative investment fund of funds and co-investment strategies. Earlier in his career, he helped source managers and build alternative investment portfolios at multi-family offices including Abbot Downing (formerly Calibre Investment Consulting) and GenSpring Family Offices.

“I am thrilled to join PPB Capital Partners,” says Burke. “I have followed the growth of PPB for years and have been impressed with the company’s success improving access to alternatives for financial advisors and their clients. The company is in the right place at the right time to help advisory clients benefit from private investments. As the financial advisory industry benefits from non-correlated assets, PPB’s position as the bridge between financial advisors and fund managers will become more valuable.”

Burke holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University, where he majored in finance.  Burke also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.  He is a member of CFA Institute, CAIA Association and CFA Society of Philadelphia.

Burke resides in Haverford, PA and maintains a residence in Raleigh, NC.
