Inflexion secures GBP150 million stake in Radius Payment Solutions

Lawyers from Carey Olsen’s corporate and finance group in Guernsey have advised longstanding client, Inflexion Private Equity (Inflexion), on its minority investment in Radius Payment Solutions (Radius), a leading fleet payments and telematics provider.

Inflexion has invested GBP150 million in Radius, with the deal valued at GBP800 million, through its Partnership Capital Fund. Its investment will support Radius’ continued organic growth whilst helping to accelerate sales worldwide.

Partner Andrew Boyce led the Carey Olsen team advising Inflexion on all the Guernsey legal aspects of the deal and associated finance facility, with assistance from associates Rachel de la Haye and Jamie Oldfield. Their advice included structuring and establishing the acquisition entities, and assisting with the negotiation and implementation of the deal documentation.

Established in 1999, Inflexion is one of the UK’s leading independent mid-market private equity firms, investing in high growth, entrepreneurial businesses. The firm closed its first Partnership Capital Fund at GBP400 million in October 2014, also with advice from Carey Olsen.

Boyce says: “Carey Olsen has been privileged to work with Inflexion on its Guernsey fund establishment and fund acquisition deals for many years, and this latest deal underscores our firm’s expertise in assisting with bringing transactions of this nature to a smooth and successful completion.”
