Victory Park Capital appoints principal and head of capital markets

Victory Park Capital (VPC), an investment firm focused on middle-market debt and equity investments, announced today that Todd Kushman joins as a principal and head of capital markets. Kushman is based in New York.

Kushman will lead the firm’s capital markets initiatives, which includes optimising and identifying new alternative investment product offerings.

“Todd’s deep experience in structured finance at leading financial institutions is additive as we look to further optimise the financing options for our investment vehicles,” says Richard Levy, CEO and Founder of VPC. “We have confidence that his leadership in capital markets will assist the firm in expanding our credit offerings and continue to create value for investors.”

Kushman brings more than 15 years of industry experience to VPC. Most recently, he served as co-founder, partner and chief operating officer at Torrey Pointe Capital LP where he was responsible for overseeing all non-investment related functions. Prior to Torrey Pointe, Kushman was a managing director at Cerberus Capital Management where he centralised the firm’s interest rate hedging program across all investment strategies and executed strategic financings. Kushman joined Cerberus from Ally Financial where he was the bank’s chief operating officer for its Capital Markets & Investments division. Prior to Ally, Kushman built the Structured Product Derivatives trading desk at Bear Stearns and its successor, JPMorgan.

“VPC already offers attractive, high quality investment products to its strong investor base and I look forward to collaborating with the team to continue to identify new and innovative ways to generate best in class risk-adjusted returns,” says Kushman.
