Alter Domus appoints new head of Asia-Pac

Alter Domus, a provider of fund and corporate services to alternative investment managers, has appointed Alexander Traub as the new Regional Executive Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Traub is also a member of the Alter Domus Group Executive Board.

Traub has had a broadly diversified 18 year career in financial services, almost all of which has been spent in Asia with the last 10 years in Singapore. He spent the last four years building the Asian business of a global private equity and real estate fund services group from a 4 person office in Singapore to approximately 300 people across three locations at the end of 2017.

Traub will be responsible for managing Alter Domus’ growing client relationships in the Asia Pacific region along with the on-going development of the business.

Laurent Vanderweyen, Chief Executive Officer of Alter Domus, says: “We are delighted that Alex has decided to join Alter Domus, this new appointment is in line with the firm’s strategy to develop Asia Pacific as one of our key strategic regions in growing our business and developing our international client base.

“As we expand our geographical footprint and our international network continues to grow, we have decided to move to a regional organisational structure. It is important for Alter Domus to have strong regional representatives such as Alex, to be able to adapt our global services offer to local market needs.”

Traub says: “I am very excited to be part of Alter Domus in Asia Pacific and I am particularly impressed by its track record and strong client base. Private Equity and Real Estate assets are expected to grow faster in Asia than in the rest of the world and this creates a great opportunity for continued growth for Alter Domus.”
