Barings adds to European asset management and transactions team

Barings Real Estate has expanded its European asset management and transactions team with the appointment of Guillaume Bieganski as Director, Asset Management & Transactions. 

Bieganski, who will be based in Barings’ Paris office, will support the development of the business in France and will report to Séverine Laffineur, Head of France.
 
Bieganski joins from Abenex (formerly ABN AMRO Capital France) where he was a Director overseeing the launch and development of the Company’s real estate activity. Between 2013 and 2016, Guillaume served as a Portfolio Manager for Standard Life Investments where he was responsible for asset management and acquisitions in Central and Eastern Europe. Bieganski has also held positions at Bouygues Immobilier, BNP Paris and DTZ Investors.
 
Bieganski has a postgraduate degree from the ESSEC Business School and graduated from the Engineering School of Paris.
 
Séverine Laffineur, Head of France at Barings Real Estate, says: “This appointment adds to our growing team in France since we made our first acquisition in 2016. Guillaume’s experience means he is ideally placed to work with us on the acquisition and asset management of new assets, including refurbishment projects and forward funding transactions.”
