BDO appoints new financial services partner

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has appointed a new international audit partner to join its expanding financial services team.

Justin Chait  (pictured), joins BDO following 12 years at KPMG and specialises in asset management, property and fund administration companies.

With significant international experience, Justin moves to London from Cape Town as BDO continues to grow and invest in its financial services offering.

Chait says: “The UK is home to one of the most dynamic financial services industries in the world. The team at BDO understands the issues and regulatory pressures clients face and it has an exceptional track record of delivering top quality audits. I am looking forward to working closely with them to ensure we continue to provide practical solutions to the issues that financial services firms are facing.”

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, says: “I am thrilled to be welcoming Justin to our financial services team. It’s a fast-growing sector for us as we help clients retain and grow assets, mitigate risk and respond to ever-changing regulatory requirements. Justin’s appointment reinforces our commitment to ensuring our clients receive the best and the right advice to manage these demands.”

The news comes after BDO announced the appointment of a new partner to its M&A team, Gurpal Ahluwalia, earlier this month, as well as the promotion of 14 new partners. In total, BDO has attracted more than 60 new partners to the business in the last two years.
