Drake Star Partners adds partner to German senior team

Global technology, media and communications investment bank Drake Star Partners has appointed senior technology investment banker Kais Baker as a Partner in the firm’s Munich office.

Baker brings over 15 years of investment banking experience and specialises in Enterprise Software. He has extensive experience in cross-border transactions, having advised European Software businesses, such as Software AG, SAP or UNIT4, on transactions in Europe and in the US.

Ralf Philipp Hofmann, Managing Partner and Member of the Group’s Global Executive Committee says: “Kais Baker is a highly experienced technology investment banker with strong credentials in deal origination and execution, including notable transactions such as the $1.6bn sale of UNIT4. We are excited to have Kais join our team in Munich. Kais will strengthen our software and IT services practice both in Germany and internationally.”

Prior to joining Drake Star Partners, Kais was an Executive Director at US Investment Bank Oppenheimer&Co in London and led the Enterprise Software activities in Europe.
