Sekhmet launches new VC fund focussed on beauty and wellness

Sekhmet Ventures has launched a new venture capital fund focussed on beauty and wellness. The fund focuses primarily on companies with science-based products in the beauty and wellness markets.

Sekhmet Ventures provides its portfolio companies with more than just capital. Sekhmet Ventures has assembled a team of experts who support its portfolio companies with expertise and extensive experience in marketing, sales, manufacturing, regulatory compliance and other commercial aspects of a beauty and wellness company. By providing these services, portfolio companies are able to accelerate growth without the additional time, capital and potential dilution that would be required to build the infrastructure required to perform these functions.

“We focus on companies with 100 per cent natural and ultra-pure products backed by science,” says Barbara Paldus, founding partner. “The investments we have already made are off to strong starts and we look forward to investing in other high growth potential companies which meet these criteria.”

“We are extremely pleased to be one of Sekhmet Ventures portfolio companies,” says Asa Siegel, CEO and Founder of STAMBA Inc. “Sekhmet Ventures has delivered on its promise to provide us with the expertise and services we have needed for our growth without having to seek additional outside capital and potential dilution.”
