JTC makes senior appointment to funds services team

JTC has appointed Chris Corcoran as Client Director, Funds Services, as the firm continues to bolster its Guernsey-based funds capabilities.

Corcoran (pictured), has also been appointed to JTC’s Guernsey board and, in his new role, will play a key role in driving forward JTC’s growth strategy in the jurisdiction. This also follows the appointment of funds specialist James Tracey as Managing Director in Guernsey.
With almost two decades of experience in offshore financial services, Corcoran brings a strong and varied skillset to the role. Specialising in funds and with an in-depth understanding of the regulatory environment, he has held numerous senior positions in the investment funds space, served on several boards and previously ran his own risk and compliance consultancy company.
Corcoran attended College in Vancouver, furthering his studies with Manchester Business School, and is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association and member of the Institute of Directors.
Tracey says: “Chris’ broad spectrum of experience and his clear determination to succeed makes him a perfect fit for JTC at a time when we are seeing unprecedented demand for high quality fund servicing support in the Channel Islands. Chris will undoubtedly bring real energy to the business and I’m sure his input will enable us to continue to grow in stature from Guernsey as we seek to support clients through our global network.”
Corcoran adds: “JTC is expanding rapidly and it’s an exciting time to join as we enter 2019. I look forward to working with such a professional and experienced team and being a part of Funds Services’ development.”
