Barnes & Thornburg adds to transactional practice

Barnes & Thornburg has appointed Jason Myers as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department in Dallas.

Myers joins from Hudson Advisors, a global asset management company, where he served as director and senior counsel. He also previously served as counsel at Vinson & Elkins in Dallas for 11 years.

Myers has a track record of handling complex transactional, legal and regulatory matters, particularly in the areas of finance and real estate. Having worked in-house and in private practice during his career, Myers’ experience includes credit facilities, real estate financing, derivatives, and a wide variety of both traditional real estate transactions and specialised projects in the energy, public-private partnership, and M&A sectors.

“Jason’s arrival is further evidence of our growing transactional capabilities in Dallas – a market with tremendous investment opportunities with great upside potential,” says Mark Bayer, Dallas managing partner. “Jason’s deep knowledge of the financial services industry and leadership at a premier real estate investment firm will draw a lot of interest from clients looking to maximise the value of their assets.”

Myers earned his JD from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, his MA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his BS from Illinois State University.
