Paul Hastings’ Corporate and Private Equity teams close multiple deals

Paul Hastings has closed several significant transactions for corporate and private equity clients including Intel Corporation, Salt Mobile, and Oakley Capital, across multiple industries.

Partners Garrett Hayes and Matthew Poxon led a team advising Salt Mobile on the GBP700 million sale of 90 per cent of Salt TowerCo, which owns Salt’s mobile towers in Switzerland, to Spanish tower operator Cellnex Telecom. This follows previous transactions for NJJ, the investment vehicle of French businessman Xavier Niel, including Monaco Telecom’s acquisition of MTN Cyprus, and NJJ’s acquisition of eir, the Irish telecommunications and broadband business.

The firm completed several deals for Western-Europe focused private equity firm Oakley Capital, including its agreements to acquire leading maritime e-learning businesses Seagull and Videotel (led by partners Matthew Poxon and Anu Balasubramanian) and its joint venture with Admiral Group and Mapfre to combine Spanish digital insurance brokers Rastreator and Acierto.com (led by Anu Balasubramanian). These follow the team’s role on Oakley Capital’s acquisitions of Mystic and Ekon earlier this year.

And partner Roger Barron worked with Palo Alto partners Bill Choe and Jason Rabbitt-Tomita acting for Intel Corporation, a leader in semiconductor industry, on its recent acquisition of UK-based Omnitek (a processor solutions business).
