Orrick announced has appointed John Donaleski as a partner in the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice  in New York. He joins Orrick from White & Case.

Donaleski advises on financings, mergers and acquisitions in connection with a broad array of energy and infrastructure assets, including conventional and renewable power, oil and gas, and LNG, as well as telecommunications infrastructure. He has significant experience in syndicated debt financings, including term loan B, mezzanine and holdco financings, with a particular focus on acquisition financings for private equity M&A transactions in the E&I sector.

“We have a robust transaction pipeline across all E&I assets, and we’re delighted to add finance talent like John to help us meet client demand,” says Blake H Winburne, head of Orrick’s global Energy & Infrastructure practice.

“Orrick has an incredibly talented and collaborative team – and a reputation for working on some of the most innovative transactions in the market. I’m excited to join them and help grow the E&I practice,” says John.

John is the fourth addition to Orrick’s global Energy & Infrastructure practice this year. The firm has also added energy tax expert Mike Masri from Norton Rose Fulbright and PPP authority Vincent Casey from Ashurst, both in New York, as well as E&I advisor Hannah Roscoe from Herbert Smith Freehills in London.

Orrick is recognised by Chambers Global for excellence across 20 areas related to energy and infrastructure. The firm was named a Law360 Project Finance Group of the Year for 2018 – for the fifth time.
