Skylight IPV secures ETFS Capital investment

This provides Skylight IPV additional stability for the next few years and the opportunity to continue to work with clients and further develop its technology to build an ever-improved service.

Skylight IPV Limited, an independent price verification company, has closed a funding round, securing significant investment from ETFS Capital.

This provides Skylight IPV additional stability for the next few years and the opportunity to continue to work with clients and further develop its technology to build an ever-improved service.

Skylight IPV’s mission is to provide risk managers and product controllers at market-making institutions with extensive, reliable and independent OTC derivatives valuations data in a transparent, secure and timely manner to enable them to perform their accounting and risk functions efficiently and accurately. Leveraging technological advances allows Skylight IPV to remain agile and responsive in an ever changing market while at the same time safeguarding ownership of client data and keeping costs competitive.

CEO and Founder of Skylight IPV, Nigel Hyde, says: “We launched Skylight IPV because the independent price verification industry is in urgent need of an experienced IPV provider that is proactive in a constantly changing regulatory landscape. We have a team of unrivalled expertise that has spent a number of years building out services that cover all major asset classes including Interest Rates, Equities, FX and Commodities. By taking a partnership approach with our clients, we’re able to evolve and improve our services ensuring they are never left vulnerable to sudden changes to market conventions or regulatory rules. We are delighted to have secured significant investment from ETFS Capital, which together with the practical and strategic support that they will provide to Skylight, will give us the ability to further build out our product offering and continue to provide our clients with the highest quality service.”

Graham Tuckwell, Chairman, ETFS Capital, says: “The market for IPV services needs a company capable of partnering with the investment banks and commodity firms to take the service to the next level. We believe Skylight IPV with their deep expertise and partnership approach is that firm.”
