Activa Capital-backed Alliance Etiquettes acquires 5 Sept Etiquette

Activa Capital’s portfolio company Alliance Etiquettes, a French company producing label printing for the wine & spirits industry, is acquiring 5 Sept Etiquette as part of its consolidation strategy.

With the closing of this deal Alliance Etiquettes completes its eighth external growth operation since 2015, bringing its turnover above EUR65 million. The group also continues to identify potential external bolt-on targets, both in France and abroad; particularly in Italy and Spain, according to the company.

5 Sept Etiquette, which addresses a diversified customer base in the agri-food, wine & spirits and cosmetics label markets, was taken over in 1995 by its current manager Patrick Wack, and is based in Courthézon (Southeast France).

An industrial tool at the cutting edge of technology and an innovative digital offer with ever shorter printing delays, are the differentiating factors of the company, according to Activa.

“5 Sept Etiquette is a company with a unique know-how and a strong strategic interest for the Alliance Etiquettes group,” said Olivier Laulan, president of Alliance Etiquettes.

“Sector diversification, complementary production techniques and strengthened geographical coverage are all assets that will enable us to bring ever greater value and satisfaction to our respective customers,” he added.

Alexandre Masson and Christophe Parier, managing partners of Activa Capital, added: “We have been very impressed by the quality and differentiating value proposition of the company in relation to the dynamics of the label printing market towards Industry 4.0.
