Unigrains appoints Deputy CEO

Unigrains, an agri-food and agro-industry specialised investor, has appointed Sébastien Essioux as Deputy CEO.Jean-François Laurain, CEO of Unigrains, says: “I am delighted to welcome Sébastien Essioux to our Group and our Executive Committee. His vast experience in strategy consulting and in the operational management of companies operating across the agri-food value chain, will allow him to quickly grasp the challenges of our essential role: to support the development of our partner companies as best as possible and strengthen the links between all stakeholders, from farmers to consumers.”

 
Essioux has more than 30 years of experience in strategy and organisation consulting, consumer goods, the agricultural cooperative sector and retail distribution.
 
A graduate of ESCP Business School, Essioux spent 15 years in strategy and organisation consulting in France and abroad, successively with Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Mars & Co, Mitchell Madison Group and AT Kearney. In 2005 he joined Bel Group, first as Internal Audit Director, then CFO France before being promoted to Strategy and Corporate Development Director. In 2012, he joined the French cooperative Axéréal as Group CFO, then Deputy CEO, in charge of Finance and Strategy. In January 2017, Essioux joined the Groupement Les Mousquetaires first as Group CFO, then as CEO.
