Three more panellists – Christopher Sand, Director, Ardian, Piyush Sharma, Associate Partner, McKinsey & Company, and Omar Hassan, Principal, CFO/CCO, Cloverlay Partners – have been confirmed panel discussions at the forthcoming PEWLive online seminar, which is taking place from 2-4 June.

Sharma, who has over 15 years of experience as a consultant and as a leader in technology and analytics for banking, insurance and private investors, will be one of the participants in a panel discussion looking at the new trends and challenges in ODD. Topics up for discussion include: how the ODD process evolving in line with technology innovation; the new tactics COOs are deploying to improve ODD; and the current challenges facing COOs in this highly valued, late stage market cycle.

Hassan meanwhile, who leads all financial reporting, investor relations, operations and compliance functions at Cloverleaf Partners, will be participating in a discussion on the impact of technology on the private equity sector. How technology advances helping COOs/CFOs monitor the performance of portfolio companies, the way technology is helping speed up deal origination and help identify new target opportunities, and the potential COOs see in new technology tools (analytic tools, reporting tools) to improve compliance and data security, will be among the subjects covered.

Ardian’s Sand will be joining the panel for Operational impact — how are GPs using ESG considerations to affect change in their operating companies? The agenda include a case study discussion of how the success factors look like to an impact investor, at the E, S and G level; an assessment of how technology disruption, operating partner expertise and investment themes (clean tech, e-vehicles, changing demographics, agritech/food production) are influencing ESG; and look at how GPs are responding to demands for greater transparency and better knowledge transfer as investors increase their focus on ESG investing.
