Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, has appointed Laura Held and Jason Sklar as Partners of the firm.“We are very excited to have Laura and Jason join the partnership,” says Steve Royer, Partner at Shamrock Capital. “Both of them have shown tireless dedication to the firm, a keen understanding of their respective areas of expertise and the ability to identify investment opportunities that have been instrumental in Shamrock’s growth and success. Held has been with Shamrock Capital for eight years and focuses on private equity strategy. Held currently serves as a director of Wpromote and Mobilitie and previously served on the boards of Questex, RBmedia, and as a board observer of Wazee Digital. Prior to joining Shamrock, she worked at The Walt Disney Company. She also has prior experience at The Carlyle Group and Credit Suisse. Held graduated cum laude from Georgetown University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Sklar has been with Shamrock since 2015 and focuses on Entertainment IP strategy. Prior to joining Shamrock, Sklar was an Executive Director with JP Morgan’s Entertainment Industries Group. He also has prior experience at Bank of America and Arthur Andersen LLP. Sklar graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona and earned an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business.
