Piper appoints Investment Manager

Piper, a specialist investor in consumer brands, has promoted Flora McAlpine to Investment Manager.

McAlpine joined Piper in September 2018 as Investment Executive and supports the deal team on origination, evaluation and execution of new investments in the consumer branded space – including recent Piper investments in Mindful Chef and Mous.

Prior to Piper, McAlpine worked for seven years in the consumer sector investing in early stage consumer brands and providing buy and sell-side commercial due diligence services on mid-market transactions. She came from strategy consultancy Parthenon-EY where she advised on the acquisition of companies such as Riviera Travel and 3V Natural Foods Group. She previously worked as an analyst at Oakley Capital focusing on investments in early stage UK retail and leisure brands.

Chris Curry, Managing Partner at Piper, says: ‘We have been greatly impressed by Flora’s contribution since she joined the team and are pleased to promote her to this new role. We look forward to her continued involvement as we actively seek to invest in exciting new brands for the future.’
