CD&R appoints Partner, Human Capital
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has appointed Orla Beggs as Partner, Human Capital. Beggs is former partner and head of the US People and Organization practice at PwC.
Beggs’ responsibilities will include leading human resources at CD&R, as well as driving people and organisational related initiatives aligned with value creation at portfolio companies. She has advised CD&R and other private equity firms on transactions in both the US and Europe over the past 16 years. She has also served as a valued member of CD&R’s HR Council, a best practice sharing forum for portfolio company HR leaders.
“Orla is a talented leader whom we have come to know and respect over the past sixteen years in connection with a range of transaction and portfolio company initiatives,” says Nathan K Sleeper, Chief Executive Officer of CD&R. “Importantly, her demonstrated thought leadership and passion for diversity and inclusion will support CD&R’s strong commitment to D&I at the Firm and across our portfolio companies.”
Beggs spent the early years of her career as a pensions actuary (being a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in the United Kingdom and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries in the United States) and subsequently specialized in coordinating the human capital aspects of mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and dispositions. Beggs holds a master’s degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and an MBA from Manchester University.
