A&M makes senior appointment in restructuring practice

Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has strengthened its Asia restructuring practice with the appointment of Edward Middleton as Managing Director based in Hong Kong.

This appointment demonstrates A&M’s commitment to bolstering the firm’s growing capabilities in Asia.

“Restructuring is in A&M’s roots as a firm known for its heritage of operational excellence. Against a backdrop of rising market volatility and financial pressure, business stakeholders are increasingly in need of advice and support to develop and execute restructuring solutions. I am delighted to have joined A&M’s Asia team at this time and am looking forward to helping the firm’s clients maximise value and drive change,” said Middleton.

“We are thrilled that Eddie has joined A&M at an important time in our expansion in Asia,” says Ron Thompson, Managing Director of A&M Asia and Head of Asia’s Restructuring Practice. “He is a recognised and respected market leader in this industry with extensive experience in advising on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency engagements. As businesses look to meet the challenges in the new normal, Eddie’s expertise will strengthen our ability to support our clients across Asia and provide solutions that address their needs.”
