Voting now open for Private Equity Wire US Awards 2020
Voting is now underway for the Private Equity Wire US Awards 2020, which will be unveiled and celebrated at an exclusive virtual ceremony and industry networking event to be held on Thursday 8 October.
The annual Private Equity Wire US Awards – hosted by Private Equity Wire, with GP manager data being provided in partnership with Bloomberg – recognise and honour excellence among private equity fund managers and service providers in the US across a wide range of categories.
The GP categories cover a wide spectrum of strategies and asset classes – including Venture, Growth, Buyout (Large-Cap and Mid-Cap), Fund of Funds, Secondaries, Debt, Real Estate, and Real Assets) – while the service provider categories span all the principal areas of the broader private equity community.
The awards follow a clear and transparent methodology. For the GP categories, the shortlists are based on data provided by Bloomberg – with the candidates selected on the basis of the net IRR performance of the managers’ funds across multiple vintages in each individual category as at the end of December 2019.
More than 50 different GPs have been nominated across the 14 manager award categories this year, reflecting the diversity and depth of the private equity fund manager universe in the US.
For the service provider categories, the nominations are based on a widespread pre-poll survey of more than 100 GPs and other key industry participants.
Voting for the eventual winners is being conducted over the next few weeks via an online poll of the extensive Private Equity Wire readership, with participants invited to make their choices among the pre-selected firms in each category.
All winners are invited to attend an exclusive virtual ceremony and networking event on Thursday 8 October 2020. The results of the awards will also be covered – along with profiles of the winners – in a Private Equity Wire US Awards Special Report that will be distributed globally.
Voted for by participants within the private equity industry itself, the awards are a valuable mark of recognition and respect among peers, advisors, and counterparties – highlighting the achievements and successes of leaders and innovators in a vibrant and highly competitive industry.
