Los Angeles-based private equity firm Gallant Capital Partners (Gallant Capital), has held the final closing of its inaugural fund, Gallant Capital Partners I, with USD378 million in total commitments. Fund I reached its hard-cap and was substantially oversubscribed, exceeding its target of USD300 million. Investors include public and corporate pension funds, financial institutions, insurance companies, endowments and foundations, fund-of-funds, wealth managers and family offices from North America and Europe.
Gallant Capital was formed in 2018 and is led by Jon Gimbel, Anthony Guagliano and Desmond Nugent. Gallant Capital deploys an operationally focused investment strategy and since its formation has completed ten investments. Fund I will continue to pursue investment opportunities where it can partner with founders and operators, as well as corporate sellers, and leverage its experience to drive operational transformations and value creation. Its deep bench of operational and investment resources provides the much-needed support that is often unavailable in the lower middle market.
