Generational Equity advises SHIPS-a-Lot on acquisition by private investor

Generational Equity, a mergers and acquisitions adviser for privately held businesses, has advised Mach 7.4 Inc (dba SHIPS-a-Lot) on an investment by a private investor.Details of the acquisition, which closed on 5 August, 2020, have not been  disclosed.

SHIPS-a-Lot, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a third-party logistics company that does freight fulfilment. The Company was founded in 2015 when three ecommerce entrepreneurs were running an online beef jerky company. Trying to scale the business, they looked for a fulfilment centre to help with orders as they worked on growth. This is when Max and Zach Zitney and their co-founder Zach Lukaszek, realised that a lot of fulfilment centres were really traditional warehouses converted into “ecommerce fulfilment centres”. They decided to create a fulfilment centre that truly understood ecommerce and did so with the creation of SHIPS-a-Lot.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director of M&A – Central Region, Michael Goss and his team, led by Senior M&A Advisor, Andrew Byrd successfully closed the deal. Senior Managing Director Terry Stidham established the initial relationship with SHIPS-a-Lot.

“SHIPS-a-Lot has a bright future and I am glad we found our clients exactly what they were looking for,” says Byrd.
