International law firm Proskauer has appointed Christopher C Robinson as a partner in the firm’s Private Funds Group in New York.“Chris is an outstanding lawyer with a depth of experience in the Private Funds arena. His joining marks the eleventh lateral partner we have welcomed this year and continues our strategy of growing in our core practices, building on the depth of talent within our Firm,” says Steven M Ellis, Chairman of Proskauer.

Robinson’s practice focuses on all aspects of the secondaries market from the purchase and sale of fund interests, to complex GP-led transactions including fund recapitalisations, continuation vehicles, tender offers, spin-out arrangements and restructurings. He also works with private fund managers on fund formations and other related matters.
Robinson graduated cum laude from Howard University with a BA in Political Science and Business Administration. He received his JD from Seton Hall University. He joins from Kirkland & Ellis.
Robinson’s arrival follows a number of significant recent additions to the Corporate and Real Estate practices, including, most recently Fred Ragucci, Mike Mezzacappa, Marc Friess and Ji Hye You to our Private Credit Group; Keith Barnett, Sean Boulger and Robert Burke to our Real Estate Practice; and James Lee and Jae Woo Park to our M&A Practice.
