Chiltern Capital makes two investment team appointments

Chiltern has added two experienced hires to its investment team. Joe Bennett joins as an Investment Manager. He previously worked at a private family office where he led lower-mid-market deals across a number of sectors, including TMT, Business Services and Healthcare, and prior to that was a Manager in KPMG’s mid-market Transaction Services team.

Bennett says: “I’m excited to be joining Chiltern as they continue with their ambitious growth plans. Having spent most of my career working with UK SMEs as both an investor and advisor, I am looking forward to supporting the development of Chiltern’s current and future investee companies.”

Alistair Gray also joins as an Investment Manager from Horizon Capital where he focused on originating and investing in the TMT and Business Services sectors, and prior to that was in KPMG’s mid-market Corporate Finance team.

Gray says: “I’m delighted to join Alex, Tom, Ed and the team at Chiltern. They’ve developed a proven model that is well-suited to investing in the UK lower mid-market and I’m looking forward to helping them with the delivery of the firm’s strategy over the coming months.”

Expanding the Chiltern team has been a priority on the back of another busy year. Tom Phipps, Partner, adds: “We are delighted to have Joe and Ali join the Chiltern fold. They both come with proven investment and deal origination experience in our segment of the market. The last six months have been disruptive and presented many challenges, however we’re confident that the coming period will present attractive investment opportunities that suit our approach and strategy. Joe and Ali will strengthen our capacity to identify and convert both new platforms and bolt-ons.”
