finnCap Group, an adviser and broker to ambitious growth companies both public and private, has appointed Nigel Parson to support the increasing reach of its consumer research. Parson brings over 20 years’ experience in the consumer research industry and has a rare combination of business and City experience, having also worked for 14 years for Grand Metropolitan plc, before it merged with Guinness plc to form Diageo in 1997.
Parson began his analyst career at Charterhouse Tilney Securities where he was an analyst covering the brewing and alcoholic drinks sectors. He then moved to Westlb Panmure to lead the Consumer teams before becoming Director/Joint Head of Research at Evolution Securities and founded his own research firm, Dryburgh Research.
Most recently, Parson held the Director position at Canaccord Genuity. In his role, he was instrumental in building a dedicated leisure franchise that in 2020 ranked second in the Starmine Top Stock-pickers list.
