ARQIS advises on sale of Kroha to AR Packaging

ARQIS has advised the shareholders of Kroha on the sale of the company to the AR Packaging Group. After approval by the responsible antitrust authorities, the transaction was completed on 30 November 2020.Kroha is a family-run production company for folding box dividers and leaflets based in Germany with production sites in Miesbach and Barleben. With its exclusive focus on pharmaceutical packaging, 250 highly qualified employees and an experienced management team, Kroha stands for the highest quality of its products and efficient processes.

 
As a portfolio company of the US financial investor CVC Capital Partners, AR Packaging is one of the leading European companies in the packaging sector with net sales of approximately EUR900 million, 5,500 employees and 27 factories in 13 countries. With this latest acquisition, AR Packaging is consistently pursuing its strategic focus on sustainable growth in the pharmaceutical packaging sector, initiated by the acquisitions of the former K+D AG, rlc packaging group and BSC Drukarnia in 2019 and spring 2020 respectively.

The mandate was led by the law firm Finkenhof. ARQIS was consulted for tax law aspects and for the restructuring of pension liabilities.
