Voting now open for Private Equity Wire European Awards 2021
Voting is now underway for the Private Equity Wire European Awards 2021, which will be unveiled and celebrated at an exclusive virtual ceremony and industry networking event to be held on Thursday 25 March.
The Private Equity Wire European Awards – hosted by Private Equity Wire, with GP manager data being provided in partnership with Bloomberg – recognise and honour excellence among private equity fund managers and service providers in Europe across a wide range of categories.
The GP categories, for fund performance and fundraising success, cover a wide spectrum of private market strategies and asset classes – including Buyout (Large-Cap and Mid-Cap), Growth, Fund of Funds, Secondaries, Co-Investment, Debt, Real Estate, and Real Assets – while the service provider categories span all the principal areas of the broader private equity community.
The awards follow a clear and transparent methodology. For the GP categories, the shortlists are based on data provided by Bloomberg – with the candidates for performance being selected on the basis of the net IRR of the managers’ funds across multiple vintages in each category, and the candidates for fundraising being selected on the basis of assets raised for 2019 and 2020 vintage funds.
More than 60 different GPs have been nominated across the 22 manager award categories this year, reflecting the diversity and depth of the private equity fund manager universe in Europe.
For the service provider categories, the nominations are based on a widespread pre-poll survey of more than 100 GPs and other key industry participants.
Voting for the eventual winners is being conducted over the next few weeks via an online poll of the extensive Private Equity Wire readership, with participants invited to make their choices among the pre-selected firms in each category.
All winners are invited to attend an exclusive virtual ceremony and networking event on Thursday 25 March 2021. The results of the awards will also be covered – along with profiles of the winners – in a Private Equity Wire European Awards Special Report that will be distributed globally.
Voted for by participants within the private equity industry itself, the awards are a valuable mark of recognition and respect among peers, advisors, and counterparties – highlighting the achievements and successes of leaders and innovators in a vibrant and highly competitive industry.
