Shamrock Capital, an investment firm based in Los Angeles, has appointed David Simpson as a principal in the firm’s private equity team.
Simpson brings over 12 years of direct investing and advisory experience in the media, software, and services sectors.

Prior to joining Shamrock Capital, David was a principal at Providence Equity, where he helped lead a number of investments across the media, software, and information services sectors. Before Providence Equity, Mr. Simpson was a vice president at Spectrum Equity, where he focused on investments in the internet and software verticals.
