PineBridge Investments appoints Global Head of Corporate Responsibility

PineBridge Investments (PineBridge), a private, global asset manager focused on active, high-conviction investing, has appointed Kate Faraday as Global Head of Corporate Responsibility.

In this newly created role, Faraday will report directly to PineBridge’s CEO, Greg Ehret. Her primary responsibilities will be to work closely with PineBridge’s Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee, which oversees the firm’s subcommittees. Those subcommittees are dedicated to ESG Investment, Diversity & Inclusion, Stewardship and Company Responsibility. Ms. Faraday will play an active role in each of these functions, ensuring alignment, collaboration and sharing of best practices across PineBridge.
 
In this new role, Faraday will oversee PineBridge’s corporate responsibility strategy and execution of key initiatives with continued focus on furthering development on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principals into PineBridge’s investment process, as well as to ensure PineBridge continues to uphold the highest practices as a responsible corporate citizen.

Faraday joined PineBridge in 2007 and was most recently Head of Client Portfolio Management, Americas Equities and Portfolio Manager for the Research Enhanced quantitative equities strategies, as well as Chair of PineBridge’s Culture Committee and a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Company Responsibility Committee. Previously, she was a global equity trader responsible for trading domestic, global, and emerging market portfolios at PineBridge.
 
Prior to joining PineBridge, Faraday began her career at Merrill Lynch on the Middle Markets Research & Trading desk, and was an equity trader at KR Capital Advisors, an investment advisory firm. She holds an Executive MBA degree from the Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Nazareth College of Rochester. Ms. Faraday is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors and member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP) and a Board member of W!SE- Working In Support of Education.
 
PineBridge is a signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), which provides a framework for reporting and assessing ESG factors. In 2020 PineBridge maintained its A+ rating by the UN PRI, demonstrating the firm’s position as a top quartile[i] manager for its approach to ESG over recent years. PineBridge is also a signatory of the UK Stewardship Code, Japan Stewardship Code, UK Local Government Pension Scheme Code and an active participant in industry thought leadership and discussions on ESG and corporate responsibility issues.
