Linklaters adds to Corporate/M&A team

Linklaters has appointed private equity expert Florent Mazeron as Partner.

Mazeron will also be one of the leaders of Linklaters’ global Financial Sponsors group. He will be joining the firm in Paris from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he has been a Partner since 2016. Prior to that, he spent almost ten years working at the French boutique firm Bredin Prat.

Mazeron focuses on major private equity transactions and other corporate transactions in relation to both public and private M&A deals as well as in relation to the setting up of strategic partnerships and joint-venture agreements.

The arrival of Mazeron strengthens Linklaters’ Corporate/Private Equity team, which has been ranked number one in the MergerMarket league tables in France by deal volume over the last 15 years, as well as number two by deal value. The team advises on the most complex and innovative deals on the market, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, transport, industry, banking, insurance, automotive, healthcare and technology sectors.

Aedamar Comiskey, Global Head of Corporate at Linklaters, says: “Florent brings with him outstanding experience which will further strengthen both our Paris Corporate/Private Equity practice and our global network of corporate lawyers.”

Bertrand Andriani, National Managing Partner of Linklaters in Paris, says: “We are delighted to welcome Florent to Linklaters, who perfectly complements our high-quality Corporate/M&A team. This recruitment and our recent promotions reflect the firm’s commitment  to provide its clients with greater strength, particularly in Corporate/Private Equity, which is one of Linklaters’ core businesses and offers clear synergies with our other practice groups in Paris and throughout our network, such as banking, tax, employment, intellectual property and technologies. “

Mazeron says: “I am delighted to join Linklaters, which has had an excellent reputation in Corporate and Private Equity for many years in France and internationally. The in-depth expertise of its various practices and the breadth of its network will enable us to cover all the issues faced nowadays by our clients in these areas.”
