Victory Hill Capital Advisors LLP has appointed Gregory Scopelitis CFA as a Principal in investments.
Scopelitis will be responsible for the origination and execution of new investments for Victory Hill Capital Advisors, as well as for portfolio asset value enhancement. He joined the team on 26 April 2021.
A specialist in the global energy and infrastructure sector, Scopelitis has over 15 years’ experience in project financing in both structured and corporate finance across conventional and renewable energy. He has acted as an investor, financial advisor and lender in a diverse range of developed and emerging markets across the globe.
He joins Victory Hill from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and was previously a Director in the Structured Finance Team at Mizuho Bank in London. He has also previously held roles at the World Bank in Washington DC, with the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg, Proparco the principal investment arm of the Agence Francaise du Development (AFD) based in Bangkok, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London as well as Sociéte Générale in its Structured Credit Department in London.
Scopelitis holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School (France), and a Masters’ in International Affairs from Columbia University (US). He is also a CFA Charterholder.
