Apax-backed Azentio Software appoints CEO

Azentio Software (Azentio), a Singapore-headquartered software products business owned by Funds advised by Apax, has appointed Tony Kinnear to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.

Kinnear joins Azentio from Thomson Reuters where he was President of the Legal Professionals business, overseeing the USD2.5 billion division and a global team serving 235,000 customers, having first joined the company in 2005 as CEO of its Legal and Tax businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Kinnear brings with him deep expertise managing and scaling software businesses, extensive senior leadership experience in the Middle East and Asia gained from over twenty years in the market, and a strong record of successful M&A. 
 
At Azentio, Kinnear will lead activity for the company globally. He will work closely with the existing management team and the Apax Funds to expand Azentio’s presence in its current geographies, build on its strong portfolio of feature rich products and pursue strategic M&A opportunities to support Azentio’s positioning as a regional leader in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) software sector.
