Centre Partners-backed MacNeill Pride Group appoints CEO

MacNeill Pride Group (MPG), a diversified global designer and manufacturer of outdoor products and sporting goods, and a portfolio company Centre Partners, has appointed Keith Bornholtz as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Bornholtz, who has over 30 years of experience in branded consumer products, joins MPG from Central Garden & Pet, where he was President of the pet distribution business unit and led a five year strategic transformation of their national multi-channel platform. Bornholtz previously held senior leadership positions at Yes To Inc., Big Heart Pet Brands, Clorox and Procter & Gamble. He will be based at MPG’s headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bornholtz says: “I’m excited to lead MPG and join its strong leadership team. After getting to know MPG’s business over the past several months, the immense potential for the company to capitalise on momentum in the outdoor industry is clear. With the recent acquisitions of GCI Outdoor and ORCA Coolers, MPG is quickly becoming a platform in the outdoor recreation space, adding to its already leading position in sporting goods. I look forward to expanding MPG’s position as a leading innovator in the dynamic outdoor recreation and sporting goods markets.”
